Japan-US HBD East 2011 Think Tank Meeting
will convene on March 16-17, 2011 in Tokyo, Japan.

Due to the sever earthquake this time in Japan, we regret to
inform that we decided to cancel the 2011 Think Tank Meeting.


We hope that you will kindly understand the situation.
As for registration fee, we will forward details to you separately as soon as we could.

HBD (Harmonization By Doing) is a cooperative effort between Japan and US of university-industry-government collaboration, prompted by the Duke University. The purpose is to adjust the regulation of medical devices in both Japan and US through practice, thus to promote global clinical trial and to encourage timely approval of devices.

The 4th HBD Think Tank Meeting will convene on March 16-17, 2011 at Iron Gate Memorial Hall in Hongo Campus of the University of Tokyo in Tokyo, Japan.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the progress of ongoing activities as well as the forward and future direction of HBD.
This meeting is opened to the public. Those who are interested to the matter are highly welcomed.

Who should attend?
Medical device regulators, medical practitioners, industry professionals, students and professors in medical technology and regulatory affairs interested in learning about the HBD activities and its efforts for convergence of regulatory requirements and practices.
